Catherine is the wife of the Reverend Steve Eason, pastor of Myers Park Presbyterian Church. She has performed as the opening act for the Smothers Brothers and The Lettermen as well as many other renowned musicians. Catherine is well-known in the Charleston area and in western North Carolina for her generosity and willingness to share her talent with others.

The concert will benefit Florence Crittenton Services and RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network). Catherine feels that she was given a gift to be shared with others. Raising funds for charity in order to improve the quality
of life for families and children has been a lifelong
commitment.

Florence Crittenton Services:

In 1903, religious and business leaders in our community came together to discuss the growing problem of pregnancy outside marriage. The decision was made to approach this issue by establishing a residential maternity home, based on an education and health model. Prevention and intervention of infant mortality and morbidity, low birth weight, babies born addicted to a substance and HIV/AIDS are included in the program. Prenatal/medical care, public school education, spiritual enrichment, substance abuse treatment, and health care services are provided by collaborative partnerships. The Florence Crittenton Home has provided services for over 35,000 mothers and babies. Adoption support services are available for all clients. Florence Crittenton has saved the state of North Carolina millions of dollars over the past 100 years.

RAIN:

RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network) is a community resource providing compassionate care for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS and offering prevention education for our region. RAIN delivers their services through CareTeams, organized in 1992 by a diverse network of churches, synagogues, and other caring groups. The goal is to provide support for those at risk with HIV/AIDS, their families and friends through a strong faith network whose doors are open regardless of circumstance or culture.
